Payment Terms — OSINTrace

1. What these terms cover

These Payment Terms cover payments made through osintrace.com (guides, due diligence reports, course enrolments) and payments arranged with us directly (investigations and other engagements). Where a specific quote or engagement letter says something different, the quote or engagement letter applies to that engagement.

2. Prices and currency

Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Any applicable taxes will be shown at checkout or on your invoice.
Where a price is marked with an asterisk (*), see the note beside it — for example, crypto amounts are converted from the Rand price at the time you check out and are indicative until your payment is confirmed.
We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for or a quote we have already confirmed in writing.

3. Accepted payment methods

Depending on what you are buying, checkout may offer:

Card and mobile wallets (debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay)
Cryptocurrency (USDC or USDT, on the networks listed at checkout)
EFT / bank transfer to the OSINTrace bank account shown at checkout

Not every method is offered for every product. Card and wallet payments are processed by a third-party payment provider — OSINTrace does not see or store your full card number.

4. When your order is confirmed

Card / wallet: confirmed once the payment provider approves the payment. Access or your download link is emailed straight away.
Crypto and EFT: these are confirmed by us manually, after the funds are visible on-chain or have cleared in our bank account. Your order stays as "pending payment" until then, and your download link or access is sent once we confirm. This can take time outside business hours.

Always quote your order reference on an EFT so we can match your payment.

5. Cryptocurrency payments

Crypto transfers are irreversible once sent — that is a property of the blockchain, not a limit on your refund rights. Paying in crypto does not stop you getting a refund where one is due (see Section 8), but please check the currency, network, address, and amount before you send. Funds sent to a wrong address that is not ours, or on a network we do not support, may be permanently lost, and we cannot recover them for you.

Send the exact currency (USDC or USDT) on the exact network shown at checkout, to the address shown at checkout only.
Network and exchange fees are your responsibility — the amount we receive must cover the full order price.
If you underpay, your order stays pending until the balance is paid. If you overpay, contact us and we will consider returning the excess, less any network fees.
Crypto values move. The Rand price is what you owe; the crypto amount shown is an estimate at checkout time, and we confirm against the value on the day we receive your payment.
We only ever ask you to pay to the addresses shown on osintrace.com checkout pages. If anyone contacts you claiming to be OSINTrace and gives you a different address, do not pay — contact us first.

6. Investigations and due diligence engagements

Investigation requests and bespoke due diligence engagements are not paid at the time you submit the request form. We first confirm scope, timeline and cost with you in writing. A deposit may be required before work starts, with the balance due as set out in the quote. Work begins once the deposit (or full payment, if stated) is received.

7. Delivery of digital products

Guides, reports and course access are digital and delivered by email link or account access once payment is confirmed. Please make sure the email address you enter is correct and check your spam folder. If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time after confirmed payment, contact us and we will resend it.

8. Refunds and cancellations

Digital guides and reports: because they are delivered immediately and can be copied once opened, they are generally non-refundable once the download link has been sent — except where the file is faulty, not what was described, or was not delivered, in which case we will replace it or refund you.
Courses: if you cancel before you have been given access, we will refund you in full. After access has started, refunds are considered case by case.
Investigations and due diligence: refunds and cancellation are governed by your quote or engagement letter. Work already done up to the point of cancellation is chargeable.
Rights you cannot sign away: nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South African consumer or electronic-transaction law, including any right to cancel an electronic transaction where the law gives you one.

Paid in crypto? You are refundable too. Crypto payers get exactly the same refund rights as everyone else. If a refund is due, we send it back in the same currency (USDC or USDT) on the same network, to the wallet the payment came from or another address you confirm to us in writing, for the Rand value you paid, less the network fee for sending the refund. Because on-chain transfers cannot be reversed, the refund is a new payment from us — we will ask you to confirm the receiving address before we send it.

To request a refund, contact us with your order reference. Approved refunds are paid back using the same method you paid with where possible; refunds on crypto payments are returned as described above.

9. Failed, disputed or reversed payments

If a card payment is declined, reversed or charged back, we may suspend or withdraw access to the related product until the matter is resolved. Please contact us before starting a chargeback — most problems can be fixed faster directly.

10. Nothing here promises an outcome

Payment buys the product or service described — it does not buy a particular outcome. See Section 3 of our Terms of Service on what investigations and due diligence checks can and cannot guarantee.

11. Your payment information

We keep the details of your order (email, what you bought, the amount, payment method, and any crypto transaction reference or EFT reference you provide) so we can deliver your purchase and keep financial records. See our Privacy Policy for how this is handled.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these Payment Terms as our services and payment methods change; the version in force when you pay is the one that applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
